How to clear your app cache data?

Please follow these steps below:-

  • Android:-
    • Go to ‘Settings’ and tap on ‘Apps’.
    • Select PB engage
    • On the ‘App Info’ interface, tap on ‘Storage’
    • Clear your cache by tapping on the ‘Clear Cache’ button
  • iOS:-
    There is no manual way to clear app cache data for iOS. The only solution to clear it is to delete the PB engage app and reinstall it again.

What is E-SI?

E-Standing Instruction is a convenient service that makes automated payments of a fixed amount to a loan, bill, or credit card at a pre-set time and date. You can schedule a one off payment or repeated payments with E-SI.

What can I do under "Profile Maintenance"?

Can I deposit cheque to my PB Sharelink account to settle purchase contracts?

Yes. However, it is subject to a maximum amount of RM 200,000.00.

What is the online operation hours for Foreign Currency Remittance?

The Online Foreign Currency Remittance (Telegraphic Transfer) is available from Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

This service will not be available on a Federal Territory Public Holiday.

What is PBe?

PBe (formerly PBeBank) is Public Bank’s online banking website. It facilitates online financial services, online bill payment and informational services.

How safe are transactions performed on PBe?

PBe utilises a Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. The encryption ensures your User ID, password and banking transactions remain confidential. 
Rest assured, every transaction is fully secured.

I have exceeded the number of login attempts.

You are only allowed 3 login attempts. If you have exceeded the number of attempts allowed, please contact our PBe Customer Support at 03-2179 9999 for assistance.

Do I need to enable cookies in my browser when using PBe?

Generally, we recommend customers to enable first party cookies. 
Enabling cookies in Internet Explorer 7: 
  1. Select "Tools" (located at the top of your browser’s window)
  2. Select "Internet Options"
  3. Choose "Privacy"
  4. Click "Advanced" under ‘Settings’ section
- Tick the checkbox “Override automatic cookie handling”
- Ensure the checkbox “Accept” under “First-party Cookies” is ticked
- Ensure the checkbox “Block” under “Third-party Cookies” is ticked
- Tick the checkbox “Always allow session cookies”

I’ve just obtained my User ID and password from the branch. When should I login?

What is “To Own Account”?

“To Own Account” means transferring funds to your personal accounts which are linked to your PBe profile.

What can I do under the “Cheque Book Request” feature?

You can request new cheque books for your Current Account. You are able to order a maximum of 10 cheque books per request.

What is Digital Signing?

Digital Signing is a process whereby a transaction performed through PBe is approved by the authorizer(s) based on a SecureSign Code generated by the SecureSign token. The SecureSign Code generated is unique to that particular token issued to the authorizer and the PIN activated.

Can companies use PBe online banking?

PBe is designed for retail customers, sole proprietors and corporate customers. Corporate customers usually consist of companies such as Sdn Bhd, Bhd and Partnerships.

What precautions can I take to protect my password?

You may take the following steps to ensure your password remain safe at all times:
  1. Memorize your password. For security reasons, never write them down
  2. Do not disclose your PIN and password
  3. Make sure no one is peeping when you are entering your password
  4. Ensure your computer environment is secure 
  5. Always remember to perform a proper logout after making financial transactions
  6. Please refrain from accessing PBe on public computers i.e. cyber cafes. If you must, remember to clear the computer's cache after each session. Change your password as soon as you have access to a secure computer.
  7. Avoid storing your password in internet browsers. To prevent your browsers from storing your passwords, please de-activate the "AutoComplete" function.

What is PB eGift?

PB eGift allows PBe customers to make fund transfers to others simply by entering the recipient’s mobile phone numbers. The Recipient just needs to have a Malaysian registered mobile number and collect funds either at PBe secure site or info site and the funds will be credited into a banking account.

How to open an eFD Account?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Choose Account
  2. Click on Fixed Deposit
  3. Select PB eFD
  4. Click on Placement
  5. Select From Account
  6. Click Open eFD Account
  7. Complete the FATCA Self-Certification and click Next
  8. Accept the Account Opening Declaration and acknowledge receipt of PIDM Brochure
  9. Complete Data Protection Notice and Consent
  10. Accept the Terms & Conditions

What is FPX?

FPX is an internet based payment gateway that allows real-time payments for online purchases or bill payments. FPX is operated by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia.

How do I download and print GST Tax Invoice?

  1. Login to PBe and click ACCOUNT at the Welcome Page.
  2. Click Print GST Tax Invoice.
  3. Select Account No, Year, Month and then click Next.
  4. Click on Tax Invoice Number.
  5. The selected Tax Invoice will be displayed. You may save and print the Tax Invoice.

Is Quick Balance supported on my device?

How can I identify if a seller accepts payment with FPX?

The FPX logo will be displayed at Seller/Merchant’s website or checkout page.

How to perform PBe first time login?

How do I apply for eIPO?

To apply, kindly follow the following instructions:
  1. Login to your PBe profile
  2. Select “Investment”

  4. Click on the Share Name you wish to apply
  5. Read the terms and conditions. If you are agreeable, click “Accept”
  6. Fill in the necessary information, together with the number of shares you wish to apply
  7. Click “Next”
  8. Click on “Confirm” to submit your eIPO application

How does this new security feature work?

The challenge questions and answers provide an extra layer of security to further authenticate your identity when you login and transact with us.

If we detect any unusual activity or unauthorised transaction, you will be prompted with a challenge question.

Where can I find PB eGift?

The service is available for both PBe Internet Banking and PB engage.

How do I link my accounts to my PBe profile?

You are allowed to add multiple accounts in your PBe profile, provided they are opened at the same branch.  Kindly visit your account holding branch to link your accounts to your PBe profile. 
Accounts eligible to be linked include:
  1. Personal Savings account
  2. Current account
  3. Housing Loan account
  4. Hire Purchase account
  5. Gold Investment Account
* Take Note: for Joint Account holders, your mode of signing must be either one to sign. When registering for a PBe profile, both signatories must provide identification and sign on our E-banking Modification form.

I have problems viewing the new PBe website.

If you have problems accessing our new PBe website, it might be due to a problem with your browser. If you’re using Internet Explorer 8, turn off compatibility mode by following these steps:
  1. At Internet Explorer 8, press F12. A new window will appear.
  2. Select Browser Mode IE8.
  3. Close window, try again.

If you’re using Google Chrome and nothing happens when you click Login, allow JavaScript by following these steps:
  1. Click on the 3 line icon  at the right of your URL address bar to bring down the menu
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Show advance settings
  4. Under Privacy Click Content Settings
  5. Click the radio button “Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)”
  6. Click Done

Check the zoom in or zoom out setting of your browser. With the browser open:
  • Hold "Ctrl" key and press the "+" key to zoom in (and "-" to zoom out). Or
  • Hold the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and scroll your mouse wheel to zoom in or to zoom out.

How do I access my company accounts?

Upon login, you will reach the Welcome Page. Click on the blue box on top of the page labeled "Personal" to reveal a drop-down button. Click on "Business" to enter Business Banking.
Next, click on your company name to access your company accounts.

What can I do under the “Stop Cheque Request” feature?

You can request tostop a cheque presentation at a Public Bank branch.

What is SecureSign?

SecureSign is a new digital signing process to confirm and approve financial transactions performed via PBe.  Authentication of the transaction is through the digital signature made by the authorizer.

What is PAC?

PAC is system generated six digit authentication code. Each PAC is unique and acts as an additional layer of security to protect your banking accounts.
 
Always treat each PAC with care. Do not share or key in your PAC number without checking these details first!



  1. Payee’s name
  2. Transaction amount
  3. Serial number
  4. PAC number
  5. Date
  6. Time
Remember: The PAC number is never required at PBe’s login page.

How do I perform Bill Payments?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Click Payment 
  2. Click Bill Payment
  3. Click To Other Bill
  4. Select one of the Payee Corporations from the drop-down list
  5. Key-in the necessary information and confirm your payment
* Take Note: Please omit spaces and dashes for the Bill Account Reference (which is Bill Account Number) input field.

After a successful bill payment, you will notice a "Store Registration" button on your computer screen. This feature allows you to record information of your bill payee corporation. Once that is done, you can enjoy the To Favourite Bill feature on your next bill payment.

How do I perform an Instant Transfer?

What is “To Other Account”?

“To Other Account” means transferring funds to someone else’s account, be it Public Bank or other banks.

I have placed PBe login page into my bookmarks / favourites folder. Right now, I’m facing problems logging in through the bookmarked webpage. What should I do?

To avoid login issues, we recommend customers to only bookmark our homepage:www.pbebank.com.

I have not login for more than six months.

Your PBe account will be blocked due to security concerns. Kindly contact our PBe Customer Support at 03-2179 9999 to unblock your account.

How do I keep my computer secure?

We recommend you to regularly update your operating system for new patches, fixes and enhancements.
You may also need to ensure that your computer is protected with:
  1. Anti-virus software
  2. Anti-spyware software
  3. Firewall software or hardware

Do I need any software to access PBe?

Yes, you would need the latest version of the internet browsers. Click the links below to download.

Can I perform online banking transactions on weekends?

PBe provides you the convenience of performing banking transactions any time and any day, even weekends and holidays.

How much funds can I remit?

The maximum amount that you can transfer will be based on your daily third party fund transfer limit maintained.

Is PB engage free?

Yes, the app is free to download from authorised app stores. However, there will be charges for selected transactions such as bill payment and interbank fund transfers as well as data charges imposed by your Telco.

What is E-Statement?

Current Account holders may download a PDF statement of their monthly balance and transactions by clicking on E-statement. The file can be viewed using Adobe PDF reader, obtainable at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html

I received a notification to upgrade my PB engage to the latest version. Can I still use the app without upgrading it?

No. For security reasons, you are required to upgrade your PB engage to continue using it.

What is DuitNow service?

DuitNow is a fund transfer service where you can transfer funds instantly on a 24/7 basis via Recipient ID called DuitNow ID. With DuitNow, you will enjoy a simple and convenient way to transfer money. 

How do I apply for eRights?

To apply, kindly follow the following instructions:
  1. Login to your PBe profile
  2. Select “Investment”
  3. Choose “Apply eRights”
  4. Read the terms and conditions. If you are agreeable, select “I Agree” and click "Next"
  5. Fill in the necessary information, together with the number of units you wish to apply
  6. Click “Next”
  7. Click on “Confirm” to submit your eRights application

How do I cancel my ATM Card via PBe?

(i) Choose Profile Management
(ii) Click on Cancel ATM Card
(iii) Select the card(s) you want to cancel
(iv) Click on “Next”
(v) Check your details to ensure the ATM Card selected is correct
(vi) Click “Confirm” to cancel your ATM Card
(vii) Upon confirmation your ATM Card(s) will be cancelled immediately. The card can no longer be reactivated
(viii) To apply for a replacement ATM Card, please visit any PBB/PIBB branch

What can I do under the “Cheque Status Inquiry” feature?

The cheque status presented to you is only valid for the last 60 days including the date of inquiry. For example:
  1. 10 January 2013- You presented cheque at a Public Bank Branch
  2. 10 June 2013- You performed a cheque status inquiry through PBe. 
Your cheque status will be shown as "Not presented in the last 60 days".

What is DuitNow ID?

DuitNow ID is the identifier which you will register and tied to your bank’s account as the receiving account. The following are the ID’s which can be registered for DuitNow:
  • Mobile Number
  • NRIC
  • Army ID / Police ID
  • Passport Number
  • Business Registration Number

How do I register for E-Statement?

For PBe Personal Accounts, please follow these steps below :
  • Choose E-Statement Registration
  • Choose your account and click ‘Next’
  • Read the Terms & Conditions
  • Click ‘I Agree’ to complete the registration

For PBe Corporate Accounts, please follow these steps below: -
  1. Choose Account
  2. Click on ‘Statement’
  3. Click on ‘Register E-Statement’
  4. Choose your Account and your preferred Statement Option, click ‘Next’
  5. Read the Terms and Conditions and click ‘I Agree’ to complete the registration

What is the daily transfer limit for E-SI?

E-Standing Instruction is subjected to your daily fund transfer limit. Please refer here for the daily transaction limits.

 

What are the operational hours for PB engage?

PB engage is available 24 hours daily, including public holidays.

I’m having problems performing transactions on the app. What should I do?

Please try any one of these methods:

  • Restart your device – Issues can be fixed by restarting your device and re-try your transaction.
  • Check your connection – A strong internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required for the app. Try again when you have a better Internet connection.
  • Clear your cache/storage – Clear your device’s PB engage cache or delete any unused apps from your device’s storage.
  • Uninstall and re-download the app.

 

Can I access PBe Internet Banking using a public PC?

Please refrain from accessing PBe using public / shared PCsor even through public Wifi hotspots. These mediums are not secure and may be vulnerable to hacking attempts.

I have not login for more than 1 year.

Your PBe account will be automatically purged by the system after one year of inactivity. You are advised to re-apply for PBe access at an ATM or your account holding branch.

What is the best browser in accessing PBe?

To optimize user experience, we recommend customers to use the following browsers.
For Windows Users:

Can I change my User ID?

You are only allowed to change your User ID during your first-time login.

What happens if I have not login after obtaining my User ID / password?

The User ID and password issued will be blocked after 30 days. Kindly reapply for a new PBe access at an ATM or your account holding branch.

Can I login PBe through notebook computer / laptop / mobile phone / tablet?

Yes. As long as your device has an internet browser and has access to the internet, you can login to your PBe profile.

How do I perform a RENTAS fund transfer?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Click on Fund Transfer
  2. Select RENTAS
  3. Click on To Account or To Favourite Account
  4. Select From Account
  5. Select Beneficiary Bank
  6. Enter Beneficiary Account No
  7. Enter Beneficiary Name
  8. Select Beneficiary ID Type and Enter Beneficiary ID
  9. Enter Payment Reference Number
  10. Enter Payment Details
  11. Enter Transaction Amount and click on Next
  12. Click on "Request PAC Now" button
  13. Enter PAC
  14. Verify details entered and click on Confirm 

When is PAC required?

You will receive a PAC via SMS when you are performing an online transaction. This only happens after you have successfully logged in to PBe or PB engage.

PAC is required for the following transactions:

  1. Fund transfer to other PBB accounts
  2. Interbank GIRO (IBG)/Instant Transfer/RENTAS
  3. Bill Payment
  4. Investment
  5. eFD placement and withdrawal
  6. Prepaid top-up
  7. Direct debit/ payment agent
  8. FPX
  9. Foreign remittance
  10. Fund transfer to own accounts for daily aggregate more than RM5,000.00
  11. Western Union transfers

PAC is required for the following non-financial functions:
  1. Managing favourite accounts
  2. Managing profile

When will the process take place?

All Online Telegraphic Transfer instructions will be routed to your Account Holding Branch. The delivery time is normally 2 working days, subject to completeness in beneficiary's information and the efficiency of the receiving bank.

How do I apply PBe online banking for my company?

You may apply at your company account holding branch by submitting the application form, Board of Directors Resolution for the company's account and the Partnership Agreement for the Partnership account.

Is it secure?

SecureSign uses Two Factor Authentication technology and digital signature solution to authenticate and secure online banking transactions. The token is secured with PIN and uses advance encryption standards.

What is Gold Trading?

Gold Trading allows you to invest in gold without having to keep gold physically. For more information, click here.

Do I have to register before making transfer with PB eGift?

No registration is required. However, you must have a PBe internet banking account to send PB eGift. For more info regarding registration, please click here.

How do I set up my challenge questions and answers?

It’s really simple! Just select your preferred question and provide an answer from each group. There will be three groups in total. PAC SMS or SecureSign token will be required when performing the enrollment process.

How do I pay MyGST-KASTAM via PBe?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Log in to your PBe account. Click on the green tile labeled “Payment”.
  2. Select “Bill Payment” followed by “To Other Bill”.
  3. Locate and select “MyGST-KASTAM” in the drop down menu. Click “Next”.
  4. Pick your preferred account, fill in the rest of the details and click “Accept”.
  5. You will be taken to a new page. If your details are in order, click “Request PAC”, close the pop up message and key in the PAC received.

What is the daily fund transfer limit?

Note:
The daily third party fund transfer limit per customer is shared between all fund transfers performed on the same day to other PBB accounts, Instant Transfer (IBFT), Interbank GIRO (IBG), DuitNow, RENTAS, PB Visa Direct, PB eGift, Remittance and Western Union services.

* The fund transfer limit can be maintained online at Profile Maintenance/Change Daily Transfer Limit up to a maximum of RM20,000.00. Single transaction limit is up to RM10,000 with PAC.

** The daily fund transfer limit can be increased beyond RM20,000.00 to a maximum of RM50,000.00 at any PBB branch. For that, you are required to use a SecureSign token for all transactions, regardless of amount.

How to perform eFD Withdrawal

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Choose Account
  2. Click on Fixed Deposit
  3. Select PB eFD
  4. Click on Withdrawal
  5. Select PB eFD Account No
  6. Click on eFD Serial No
  7. Click “Yes” on pop up message to proceed or “No” to cancel
  8. Verify details and click on 'NEXT' button
  9. Click "Request PAC Now"
  10. Enter the PAC number
  11. Verify details entered and click on 'CONFIRM' button

When can I download and print GST Tax Invoice?

The Electronic GST Tax Invoice can be downloaded on a bi-weekly basis as follows:

1st to 15th of the month 16th of the month
16th to end of the month 1st of the subsequent month

What is PBe's operating hours?

PBe service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

How much is the service fee charge for FPX via PBe?

The service fee charge levied on FPX service varies according to the types of services and merchant selected.

Does Quick Balance support Face ID?

No, Face ID is not supported.

Are there any charges for migrating to PB enterprise?

No, there will be no charges for migrating to PB enterprise.

Do I need to submit a new application?

You are not required to submit a new application*. However, you are required to update your corporate user profile.
 
*Some accounts may require a new application submission. The Bank will contact you should it be required.

How do I register for Quick Balance?

Please follow these steps below:-
  1. Login to PB engage
  2. On Quick Balance setup, select 'Yes'
  3. Acknowledge the Fingerprint Disclosure by selecting 'Proceed'
  4. Enter your IC/Passport Number, Device Name and select 'Next' to proceed
  5. Select 'Request PAC'
  6. Enter the PAC number and select 'Confirm'
  7. Scan your fingerprint to complete the registration

How long will the GST Tax Invoice be available online?

The GST Tax Invoice is available online for a period of 2 years.

How to perform PBe first time login?

Can I cancel a successful FPX transaction?

No. It is not possible to cancel a successful and completed FPX transaction through the system. However, you may liaise with the seller/ merchant directly on the matter.

How to print Placement / Renewal Slip?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Choose Account
  2. Click on Fixed Deposit
  3. Select PB eFD
  4. Click on Print Placement / Renewal Slip
  5. Select PB eFD Account No
  6. Click on the PB eFD Serial No and click Print

Can I choose not to set up challenge questions and answers?

No. This security feature applies to all our online banking customers.



You may choose to bypass the security setup for three times. However, by the fourth login, you have to set up your challenge questions and answers.

How do I transfer with PB eGift and who can use this service?

Just follow these simple steps to send a PB eGift:-
Via PBe Internet Banking
  1. Log on to PBe
  2. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  3. Select ‘PB eGift’
  4. Select send ‘To Favourite’ or ‘To Open’
  5. Read the Terms & Conditions, and click ‘Accept’
  6. Enter the details (From account, recipient mobile number and amount)
  7. Click on ‘Add recipient’
  8. Write your personal message and choose your eGift design packet
  9. Click on ‘Confirm’ to complete the transaction
 
Via PB engage
  1. Log on to PB engage
  2. Select ‘Send PB eGift’
  3. Select your occasion and your eGift design packet
  4. Select your account
  5. Write your personal message
  6. You can now add recipients from your phone contacts, saved favourites or enter the details manually
  7. Enter the amount to send and tap ‘Next’
  8. Confirm the details, and tap ‘Send’ to complete the transaction
 Note: Upon successful transaction, a 6-digit Security Code will be sent to Sender via SMS.
 
Currently, the ability to send PB eGift is available for PBe customers only. Non-PBe customers are able to receive PB eGifts only.

What is Share Trading?

Share trading allows you to buy and sell counters listed on Bursa Malaysia through your PBe profile. For more information, click here.

How do I remove accounts that are linked to my PBe profile?

To modiify your personal details, first login your account. Click on "Profile Maintenance" followed by "Manage Profile".
Next, select "View/Delete Accounts".

Will I still be able to use the iVEST Smartcard and MSC token with the launch of SecureSign?

You may continue to use either tokens until expiration of the digital certificates or before 31 December 2014. To avoid disruptions to your Internet Banking service, it is advisable to have them replaced even before then.

How do I perform an Online Foreign Currency Remittance?

Steps on how to perform remittance to overseas via PBeBank.com 
  1. Login to PBeBank.com
  2. Click "Fund Transfer"
  3. Select "Foreign Remittance"
  4. Click "Telegraphic Transfer"
  5. Read through the Terms & Conditions and click on "Accept"

Once you have successfully registered your mobile phone number, a “Request PAC Now” option will be available to you whenever you are making the above transactions.

What is“Favourite Account” and how is it different from “To Other Account”?

The “Favourite Account” feature allows you to store your favourite accounts. You can even give each of these accounts a new name. Once registered, the account number, along with its new name will be recorded in your profile. 
Unlike “To Other Account”, there is no need to enter a Favourite Account's information before each transaction. Simply select it from your list of Favourite Accounts.

Can I change my password?

Once you are logged on to PBe, just click on "Profile Maintenance", followed by "Manage Profile". Next, select "Change Password".

Why does it take such a long time to load webpages on PBe?

The slow response you are experiencing could be caused by any of the following reasons:
  1. You may not be using the recommended browser, operating system or hardware
  2. Your Internet Service Provider, Local Area Network or our system may be experiencing heavy traffic
  3. Your computer may be infected by malicious programs, rootkit, viruses or spywares

How do I change my E-Statement preferences? (for PBe Corporate customers only)

PBe Corporate Account owners who wish to change their E-Statement preferences, please follow the following steps:
  1. Choose Account
  2. Click on ‘Statement’

  4. Select the account you wish to manage and click ‘Modify’
  5. Choose your preferred Statement Option and click ‘Confirm’ to complete the modification

What is PB engage?

PB engage enables you to perform online banking transactions on your iOS or Android mobile devices.

Who can access PBe?

PBe informational services are accessible to all Internet users.
Transactional services are exclusive to customers with a registered PBe profile.

Do I need to register before using PB engage?

No pre-registration is required. Please use your existing PBe User ID and password to sign in.

Why is PB engage requesting access to my contacts, location, storage, photos and media files?

PB engage requires these accesses due to the following reasons:-

  • Contacts – to give you the convenience to select your contacts when you send PB eGift.
  • Photo, media and files – to store PB eGift packets.
  • Storage – to give you the option to store the PB engage app in a SD Card.
  • Location – to find the nearest Public Bank branches

NOTE: Your information will be secured and the Bank will never use your information for any other purposes.

Is my password case sensitive?

Yes. Our internet banking system considers upper case and lower case to be different characters. This means if you have registered your password as "passWORD", you must login by using "passWORD"; not "password" or "PASSWORD". 

How do I perform a fund transfer to other Public Bank accounts?

What is the difference between “Bill Payment (To Bill)” and “Bill Payment (To Favourite Bill)” feature?

Bill Payment (To Bill)
  1. Customers can pay to any bill payee corporation available without having to set up the relevant bill details.
  2. This is normally used for a one-time payment.
Bill Payment (To Favourite Bill)
  1. Customers have to register bill details online under "Bill Registration and Maintenance" before making actual payments.
  2. This is much more convenient to customers who make regular payments.

How much are the service charges?

The charges for each wire transfer are as follows:-
  1. Commission of RM2.00
  2. Cable charges of RM30.00
The charges incurred may be subject to changes by the Bank. All charges incurred or imposed outside Malaysia are to be borne by the beneficiary.

How do I subscribe for the service?

You may subscribe for the service at your account holding branch.

What are the minimum requirements for corporate PBe Online Banking?

Requirements for corporate PBe Business Banking are the same as PBe Personal Banking. Even so, corporate accounts require an SecureSign to perform financial transactions.

How often do I need to update my contact number?

Please update us with your latest contact details as soon as possible.
To modiify your personal details, first login your account. Click on "Profile Maintenance" followed by "Manage Profile".
Next, select "Change Personal Details".

My account shows that it is dormant or inactive. What should I do?

To activate your account, you will need to perform an over-the-counter withdrawal transaction at any one of our branches. You will be able to view your account on the next working day.

Is there any service fee for using PB eGift?

There are no charges for sending or receiving PB eGift. 

Do I need to change my PBe User ID or password?

No. You may keep your current User ID and password.

My account was debited but the seller/ merchant claims that it has not received the fund. What should I do?

FPX transaction status is final and the merchant must fulfill its obligations. You should contact the seller/ merchant and provide the transaction details such as the online receipt issued by FPX/merchant or the e-mail notification received from FPX that contained the following details:
• FPX Transaction ID
• Merchant Order No.
• Payment amount
• Date and time of the payment

Where can I get the previous years’ GST Tax Invoice?

You may request for printing of GST Tax Invoice from your account holding branch.

How do I login with Quick Balance?

Once you have successfully registered for Quick Balance, tap on 'Quick Balance' icon the next time you launch PB engage. Touch the fingerprint sensor on your device to proceed. 

How do I login to PB enterprise?

You will receive a First-time Login email containing your Company ID, User ID, and a temporary password form the Bank. The temporary password is for you to perform your first-time login at www.pbenterprise.com. You will be prompted to create a new password and Personal Login Phrase followed by a PAC to authenticate your first-time login. 

How will I know when my company is migrating?

The Bank will notify you on your company's migration schedule via email.

Can others view my account balance if their fingerprints are registered on my device?

Once your device is registered to Quick Balance, your account can be accessed with the fingerprint registered on your device. Please delete all third party fingerprints registered on your device. 

Why I cannot download my GST Tax Invoice?

You may email to PBe Customer Support at customersupport@publicbank.com.my or contact 03-2179 9999 for further clarification.

Can I set up my challenge questions via PB engage?

No. You may only set up your challenge questions and answers via PBe. Access to PB engage will be blocked until you have set up the challenge questions.

What is Security Code and what is it used for?

The Security Code refers to the 6-digit numeric code that the Sender will receive via SMS upon completion of the PB eGift transaction.

The Sender is required to communicate this code directly to the intended recipient as an added security measure to ensure that only the intended recipient is able to receive the PB eGift. This code is required by the recipient to receive the fund.

What is the exchange rate used?

The transaction amount is unlimited.

Can I use the same PAC for multiple transactions?

No. A new PAC is required for every transaction.

How do I perform a credit card payment to someone else card?

  1. Select “Tools” icon (located at the top of your browser’s window)

How do I delete a scheduled E-SI?

You manage your E-SI by deleting an entire E-SI or delete specific transactions within your created E-SI.

  • To delete an entire E-SI, please follow these steps below:-
    • Choose Account
    • Click on ‘E-Standing Instruction (E-SI)
    • Click on ‘Manage E-SI’
    • Choose the E-SI that you want to delete
    • Click on ‘Delete’

  • To delete a specific transaction within your E-SI, please follow these steps below:-

How does DuitNow works?

To perform fund transfer via DuitNow, simply enter your Recipient’s DuitNow ID, and confirm the transfer details. The funds will be transferred to the Recipient’s account instantly. But you need ensure that the Recipient’s already registered their DuitNow ID’s to their selected bank.

You can request for new cheque books, stop a cheque and inquire on a cheque’s status.

eCommerce Purchase One-Time Password (OTP) allows you to perform secure payments to online merchants through PBe. Upon making an online purchase through PB Credit/Debit Card, you will receive a verification SMS containing the OTP. 
* Take Note: To receive the SMS, we require your principal and supplementary card’s mobile phone numbers. Kindly update us with your latest numbers as soon as possible.

Do I need to register for DuitNow service?

Yes, you are required to register if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow service. However, if you only intend to transfer funds, no registration is required.

How do I download my E-Statement?

Transaction History allows you to view your account transactions for the current month and the past two months. Your account must first be linked your PBe profile.

How do I create a strong password?

A strong password should include a combination of numbers, alphabets and special characters. Consider using a mix of lower and uppercase letters, e.g. A@j6q4Le31

How do I perform a loan / financing payment to someone else’s Public Bank accounts?

Please follow the steps listed below:

If the recipient is a PBe user, he or she can perform the receiving of PB eGift at PBe secure site and for non-PBe user, he or she can perform the receiving of PB eGift at PBe’s main info site. For the recipient to receive the funds, recipient needs to obtain the Security Code from the Sender. Recipient must enter the following information at the designated page;
  • Security code
  • Mobile number
  • Preferred account number

How do I pay my Income Tax?

Follow these steps to pay your income tax:
  1. Log in to your PBe account.
  2. Click on ‘Payment’.
  3. Select ‘Other Payment’.
  4. At Corporation Code select Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri and click 'Next'.
  5. Enter your tax reference number (11 digits; excluding alphabets) and new IC Number. Click ‘Accept’.
  6. Select Payment Code (e.g. Bayaran Cukai Pendapatan [tidak termasuk skim ansuran/ lump sum payment]) and click ‘Accept’.
  7. Select your account number.
  8. Enter your assessment year, instalment number and amount. Then click ‘Next’.
  9. Enter PAC after verify details entered and click ‘Confirm’.
  10. Click ‘Print’ to print the reference page.

a) Register via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Register DuitNow'
  3. Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Next' to proceed
  5. Click on 'Request PAC Now'
  6. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
 
b) Register via PB enterprise
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'

Please complete all your pending transactions in PBe Business Banking and create a backup for all transaction records / reports, receipts and statements that you might need to use in the future. 

What happens if my device is lost or stolen?

Please deactivate Quick Balance for the lost or stolen device as soon as possible.

How many DuitNow IDs can I register?

You can register multiple DuitNow IDs as long your ID is updated with the bank system. However, only one DuitNow ID can be registered to one bank account. 

Can I use the same exact answer for all three challenge questions?

No. You need to ensure that each answer is unique.

What is the validity duration of the Security Code?

The Security Code is valid for 24 hours from the date and time the Sender completes the PB eGift transaction.

How do I replace the SecureSign in the event that it is damaged or the battery is low?

Warranty of the product is 6 months from date of issuance. A replacement can be requested from your account holding branch with the charges waived. Depending on the usage and normal conditions, the battery should be good for 4 years or more.

How do I delete a registered bill-payee corporation?

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Click "Payment"
  2. Select “Manage Favourite Payment”
  3. Select "Bill Payment"
  4. Determine the registered payee corproations to be deleted by ticking the check boxes next to them

Positive Pay is a service designed to prevent cheque fraud by securing all of your cheque payments.

How does Positive Pay work?

  5. Amount

What is CSV download?

CSV Download shows you your account balance and transaction history in CSV (Comma Separated Value) format. For the best view, please open the file using spreadsheet softwares such as Microsoft Excel or OSX's Number.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password online by following these steps:-
  1. While on the PBe Login page, click ‘Forgot Password’
  2. Ensure you have either a PAC registered mobile phone or SecureSign Token and your Public Bank ATM Card
  3. Enter your details (User ID, IC number, and ATM Card number)
  4. Enter the security code displayed on screen and click ‘Submit’
  5. Enter your new password and click ‘Request for PAC Now’
  6. Enter your PAC number and click ‘Confirm’
  7. Your password has now been reset
  8. Please take note of the reference number for future correspondence
 
Alternatively, you may obtain a new password at the nearest Public Bank ATM*. Just follow the steps listed below:-
  1. Select Password/PIN Change
  2. Select PBe Password Change
  3. Enter temporary 6-digit PIN
  4. Reconfirm temporary 6-digit PIN
* Provided your current Malaysian Mobile Phone number has been registered for PAC service. Applicable for personal account only.

What precautions should I take to secure the token?

Activate your personalized PIN (6 digits) immediately upon receipt of the token. Always keep the PIN secret and the token safe. Do not leave the token unattended or share it with anyone else. For added security, change the PIN on a periodical basis. Try to avoid weak PINs such 123456, 282828, 444444 etc. Without the token, transactions cannot be performed without your knowledge nor authorization.

What if the SMS carrying the Security Code is delayed?

The recipient is given sufficient time up to 24 hours to collect the funds. In addition, the Bank will use any and all reasonable measures to ensure that the SMS is sent directly to the Sender as soon as possible. Nevertheless the Bank shall not be liable for any delay in sending the SMS due to Telco service congestion or interruption.

Must I keep my chosen challenge questions and answers a secret?

Yes. Think of it like an additional password. Do not share this information with anyone.

How do I deactivate Quick Balance?

Please follow these steps below:
  1. Login to PB engage
  2. Go to 'Settings'
  3. Select 'Quick Balance Devices'
  4. Select the device you wish to deactivate 
  5. Select 'Confirm' to complete the deactivation

Can I opt to continue using PBe Business Banking i.e not be migrated to PB enterprise?

PBe Business Banking will eventually cease to be in service, we highly encourage you to migrate over to PB enterprise. 

Can I postpone my migration?

To ensure minimal disruption to the migration process, you will not be able to postpone your scheduled migration. 

What happens if I failed to log in with my fingerprint too many times?

Quick Balance will be disabled after five(5) failed attempts. However, you can still log in to your account with your User ID and Password. Quick Balance will be automatically enabled on your next login.

What type of account(s) can I register for DuitNow?

Currently, you can only register to your Savings and Current accounts as the receiving accounts.

What can I do under “Manage DuitNow”?

Manage DuitNow allow you to perform the following actions:-
  1. Deregistration of DuitNow ID
    • You can deregister your DuitNow ID from the PayNet database and you will not be able to receive fund via DuitNow service. You need to register again if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow service.
  2. Update DuitNow ID Status
    • You can enable (On) or temporarily disable (Off) your DuitNow ID from receiving funds
  3. Modify Receiving Bank Account
    • You can change the bank account that is tied to your DuitNow ID.
  4. Switch Bank
    • You can switch your DuitNow ID registered at other banks to Public Bank.

Is there a transaction limit PB eGift?

Yes. The transaction limit for PB eGift will be capped at RM300.00 per day. As an added security measure, sender can only send funds via PB eGift a maximum of two transactions to the same mobile number per day.

What if I forgot the PIN?

You have six attempts at the PIN. After which, the token will be blocked with the ‘Unblock Code’ displayed. You have to proceed to your Account Holding Branch personally to have the token unblocked at no cost.

Are there any charges for making fund transfers?

Yes. The charges are listed as follows:

You can access PBe as long as you have an internet connection and a PBe account profile. However, to perform any financial transaction, you would require a local telco service with international roaming enabled to receive the PAC SMS.

To register, please follow the steps listed as follows:
  1. Login your PBe profile
  2. Click on "Account". Next, select "Cheque Management"
  3. Click on "Positive Pay". Choose "Register"
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions and click "Accept"

How do I apply for PBe Services if I am outside of Malaysia and have an account with the Public Bank Group?

You can only apply for PBe online banking services only when you are in Malaysia. Please visit your account holding branch to apply for an e-banking profile. Once you have your User ID and password, you can login anywhere.

What if my token is spoil or lost, who to contact for assistance?

If your token is spoil or lost, please report it immediately to PBe Customer Support at 03-2179 9999 or contact the branch to have the token deactivated. A new token can be issued by the branch at a standard charge of RM53.00 per token.

What if the recipient’s mobile number was wrongly entered?

Do NOT disclose the Security code to the unintended recipient. Without the Sender’s Security Code, the collection of funds cannot be effected.

I’m a Business Banking customer. Can I register for Positive Pay service?

Yes. To register, kindly visit your Account Holding Branch.

After registering for the service, download the Client Software here. The Client Software allows Business Banking customers to include information of multiple cheques.

Once all relevant information is entered, you can generate a file. Kindly follow the steps below to upload the file through PBe.

  1. Login your PBe profile
  2. Select “Business Banking”
  3. Click on your company name
  4. Select “Account”
  5. Click on “Cheque Management”
  6. Choose “Positive Pay”
  7. Click on “Insert” to upload the file
The file upload service is available from 7.00am to 6.00pm every day. Files uploaded outside of the stipulated time will be processed in the following day.

How do I deregister my DuitNow ID?

Please follow these steps below :-

You will be able to retain or change your User ID when you are prompted to update your corporate user profile. A new temporary password will be assigned to you to perform your first-time login. You will be prompted to create a new password and Personal Login Phrase followed by a PAC to authenticate your first-time login. 

What is Quick Balance?

Quick Balance is a new PB engage feature that allows you to view your account balances by logging in using your fingerprint.

Can I still use PBe Business Banking after migrating?

Upon receiving your First-time Login email, you are given a 30-day transition period. During this period, you are still allowed to access PBe Business Banking and perform transactions but the E-SI function will be disabled. After the 30 days are up, PBe Business Banking will be restricted to viewing your account’s past records only.

How do I update my DuitNow ID status?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) Update your DuitNow ID status via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'

How do I terminate my PBe profile?

To terminate your existing e-banking profile, please approach any of our Public Bank branches. You will be guided on filling up and submitting an E-Banking Termination form.

What is “View PBe Transaction”?

View PBe Transaction is a record of all your transactions performed (last six months) via PBe. This feature caters for the following transactions:

How do I change my receiving bank account?

What happens if the wrong security code was entered for the maximum number of attempts?

I have recently changed my mobile number but my DuitNow ID display my old mobile number. What should I do?

Please update your mobile number at the nearest branch. Once updated, your previous mobile number will be deregistered from DuitNow. Next, go to PBe or PB engage to re-register your new mobile number as your DuitNow ID.

How do I perform DuitNow transfer?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) DuitNow transfer via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘To Other Account’ or 'To Favourite Account' 
  3. Select your ‘From Account’
  4. Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
  5. Enter the ‘DuitNow ID’
  6. Enter the amount and other details
  7. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  8. Click on ‘Request PAC Now’
  9. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click ‘Confirm’ to complete the process
 
b) DuitNow transfer via PB enterprise 
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘DuitNow’
  3. Choose ‘Transfer Mode’
  4. Select your ‘From Account’
  5. Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
  6. Enter the ‘DuitNow ID’
  7. Enter the amount and other details and click ‘Add to List’
  8. If you wish to add more transactions, repeat from step (iii)
  9. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  10. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

Is there any service fee involved for DuitNow services?

No. There is currently no service fee charged for the service.
