What is DuitNow service?

DuitNow is a fund transfer service where you can transfer funds instantly on a 24/7 basis via Recipient ID called DuitNow ID. With DuitNow, you will enjoy a simple and convenient way to transfer money. 

What is DuitNow ID?

DuitNow ID is the identifier which you will register and tied to your bank’s account as the receiving account. The following are the ID’s which can be registered for DuitNow:
  • Mobile Number
  • NRIC
  • Army ID / Police ID
  • Passport Number
  • Business Registration Number

Where is this service available?

This service is available on PBe, PB engage and PB enterprise.

How does DuitNow works?

To perform fund transfer via DuitNow, simply enter your Recipient’s DuitNow ID, and confirm the transfer details. The funds will be transferred to the Recipient’s account instantly. But you need ensure that the Recipient’s already registered their DuitNow ID’s to their selected bank.

Do I need to register for DuitNow service?

Yes, you are required to register if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow service. However, if you only intend to transfer funds, no registration is required.

How do I register for DuitNow ID?

The registration will be made available via PBe, PB engage and PB enterprise. Please follow these steps below:-

a) Register via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Register DuitNow'
  3. Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Next' to proceed
  5. Click on 'Request PAC Now'
  6. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
 
b) Register via PB enterprise
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Register DuitNow'
  3. Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Next' to proceed
  5. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

How many DuitNow IDs can I register?

You can register multiple DuitNow IDs as long your ID is updated with the bank system. However, only one DuitNow ID can be registered to one bank account. 

What type of account(s) can I register for DuitNow?

Currently, you can only register to your Savings and Current accounts as the receiving accounts.

What can I do under “Manage DuitNow”?

Manage DuitNow allow you to perform the following actions:-
  1. Deregistration of DuitNow ID
    • You can deregister your DuitNow ID from the PayNet database and you will not be able to receive fund via DuitNow service. You need to register again if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow service.
  2. Update DuitNow ID Status
    • You can enable (On) or temporarily disable (Off) your DuitNow ID from receiving funds
  3. Modify Receiving Bank Account
    • You can change the bank account that is tied to your DuitNow ID.
  4. Switch Bank
    • You can switch your DuitNow ID registered at other banks to Public Bank.

How do I deregister my DuitNow ID?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) Deregister via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
  3. Click on delete action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to delete
  4. A confirmation pop-up message will appear, click on 'Yes' to confirm the deletion
 
b) Deregister via PB enterprise
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
  3. Click on delete action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to delete
  4. A pop-up message will appear, click on 'Yes' to confirm the deletion
  5. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

How do I update my DuitNow ID status?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) Update your DuitNow ID status via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
  4. Select your 'Status' on the dropdown menu to 'On' or 'Off' and click 'Next' to proceed
  5. Verify the details and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
 
b) Update your DuitNow ID status via PB enterprise
  1. Select 'Fund Transfer'
  2. Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
  4. Select your 'Status' on the dropdown menu to 'On' or 'Off' and click 'Next' to proceed
  5. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

How do I change my receiving bank account?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) Update your DuitNow ID status via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select Fund Transfer
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘Manage DuitNow’
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
  4. Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  5. Click on ‘Request PAC Now’
  6. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click Confirm to complete the process
 
b) Update your DuitNow ID status via PB enterprise
  1. Select Fund Transfer
  2. Look for DuitNow and select Manage DuitNow
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
  4. Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  5. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

My DuitNow ID is registered to another bank, how do I switch to Public Bank?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) Update your DuitNow ID status via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘Manage DuitNow’
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that registered to other banks
  4. Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  5. Click on ‘Request PAC Now’
  6. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click ‘Confirm’ to complete the process
 
b) Update your DuitNow ID status via PB enterprise
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘Manage DuitNow’
  3. Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that registered to other banks
  4. A pop-up message will appear, click on ‘Yes’ to confirm the switching
  5. Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  6. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

I have recently changed my mobile number but my DuitNow ID display my old mobile number. What should I do?

Please update your mobile number at the nearest branch. Once updated, your previous mobile number will be deregistered from DuitNow. Next, go to PBe or PB engage to re-register your new mobile number as your DuitNow ID.

How do I perform DuitNow transfer?

Please follow these steps below :-
a) DuitNow transfer via PBe or PB engage
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘To Other Account’ or 'To Favourite Account' 
  3. Select your ‘From Account’
  4. Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
  5. Enter the ‘DuitNow ID’
  6. Enter the amount and other details
  7. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  8. Click on ‘Request PAC Now’
  9. Verify the details before entering the PAC and click ‘Confirm’ to complete the process
 
b) DuitNow transfer via PB enterprise 
  1. Select ‘Fund Transfer’
  2. Look for DuitNow and select ‘DuitNow’
  3. Choose ‘Transfer Mode’
  4. Select your ‘From Account’
  5. Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
  6. Enter the ‘DuitNow ID’
  7. Enter the amount and other details and click ‘Add to List’
  8. If you wish to add more transactions, repeat from step (iii)
  9. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
  10. Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

Is there any service fee involved for DuitNow services?

No. There is currently no service fee charged for the service.

What is the transaction limit for DuitNow?

DuitNow transaction limit are as follows:
