  1. When can I start trading (Buy and Sell)?
You can start buying if there is sufficient trading and/or cash/margin balance in your share trading or share margin account.
 
The available trading and/or cash/margin balance is computed based on the total value of collateral pledged as per Bank's valuation.
 
You are NOT allowed to buy shares if there is no available trading and cash/margin balance. The system will disallow you from placing the Buy order if the available trading and cash/margin balance is exceeded.
 
For sell transaction, you MUST hold the stock with sufficient quantity of shares in your share trading or share margin account. You may refer to the 'Sellable List' under the 'Online Enquiries' for the list of stocks and the available quantity held. The system will not allow you from placing the Sell order if there is insufficient quantity shares held in your account.
 
Short-sell is strictly PROHIBITED. 
 
  1. When can I place an order?
Bursa Malaysia's designated order entry hours are as follows:-
- First trading session: 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; and
- Second trading session: 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
 
You may place your orders electronically during these stipulated hours, and your orders will be routed directly to Bursa Malaysia for execution.
 
You may also place your orders for next trading day from 5.15 p.m. onwards, in which your orders will be ‘Queued’ for the next trading day.

  1. How do I place Buy/Sell order?
Select a desired stock and click on 'Buy' or 'Sell' buttons located on the top right corner of the 'Live Quotes'.
 
When the 'Order Entry' box appears, key in your preferred quantity (in board lot multiple of 100 shares) and price before pressing the 'OK' button.
 
Click 'Confirm' button if the Order Confirmation box is in order. 
 
  1. What is the maximum quantity and value per order that I can place?
The maximum quantity per order per stock that you can place is 500,000 units or RM2.0 million, whichever is lower. However, you may set it lower under the Order Entry Option. An alert message will be prompted to proceed or cancel if the order exceeded the pre-set limit.
 
Please take note that the Buy/Sell order would still be subjected to the available trading and/or cash/margin balance and available shares in your share trading or share margin account.
 
  1. Can I place odd lot order?
You are only allowed to Sell odd lot order through Pbe Online Share Trading opened with Internet Explorer.
 
You may opt to place Buy and Sell odd lot orders via telephone instruction to your designated Share Investment Executives at respective Share Investment Units (SIU).

  1. How long are my orders valid for?
By default, your orders will be valid for 1 trading day.
 
All unmatched orders at end of morning trading session will be carried forward to the afternoon trading session.
 
If you place GTD order, your order will expire by 5pm on the last day (“till date”) selected.
 
  1. How do I reduce/cancel my orders?
To reduce/cancel your unmatched order, highlight the particular order on the Order Status screen and click the 'Reduce/Cancel Order' icon located next to 'Properties' button.
 
When the 'Reduce/Cancel Order' box appears, key in the exact quantity (in board lot multiples of 100 shares) that you wish to reduce or cancel.
 
Please take note that only orders that were placed via PBe Online Share Trading/ PB Sharelink Mobile App can be reduced/ canceled online. You are NOT allowed to reduce/cancel orders that were placed offline ie. via telephone instruction to your designated Share Investment Executives. This can only be done by the designated Share Investment Executives upon your verbal instruction.
 
  1. How do I differentiate online and offline orders?
For orders that were placed online (including those placed through PB Sharelink Mobile App), your user identifier (“ID”) will be displayed in the Order Status.
 
For orders that were placed through Share Investment Unit via telephone instruction, the user ID of the respective Share Investment Executives will be displayed in the Order Status.
 
  1. How can I monitor my order status?
Click on 'Order Status' button located on the top right corner of the 'Live Quotes'.
 
The 'Order Status' screen will be updated real-time. The descriptions of the various stages that the order routed online are summarized below :-
 
Order Status Description
Order Queued Order that has yet to be sent to the stockbroker's dealers for execution.
Order Confirmed Order has been routed to Bursa Malaysia by the stockbroker's dealers and is currently awaiting a match.
All Matched The order has been successfully matched in full ie both quantity and price done.
Partially Matched The order has been partly matched.
Quantity Reduced This means that your order has been reduced in quantity, whilst the price remains unchanged.
Order Canceled The order has been successfully canceled.
Order Sent by Dealer* This occurs when your order has been sent out by stockbroker's dealers and is pending response from Bursa Malaysia.
Order Declined* The order has been rejected by the stockbroker's dealers or Bursa Malaysia due to various reasons.
Order Expired Unmatched orders that have expired at the end of a trading session or trading day.
* Kindly contact your designated Share Investment Executives during office hours if you need to further confirm your order status.
 
  1. Can I sell the overdue purchase contracts on T+4?
No. You are NOT allowed to sell T+4 overdue contracts.
 
Shares purchased must be settled on T+3 either by depositing additional funds, using margin financing or selling off the shares. Otherwise, the shares will be force-sold by the Bank on T+4.
 
Please take note that rollover or buying back the same shares is STRICTLY PROHIBITED by Bursa Malaysia
  1. When do I pay for the purchase contracts and how?
The purchase contracts are due for settlement on third market day (T+3). Bank will debit your share trading or share margin account under PB Sharelink on T+3 provided there are sufficient funds or cash/margin balance.
 
Should you fail to maintain sufficient funds and margin balance in your share trading or share margin account on T+3, the Bank will force-sell the overdue purchase contracts on the next market day ie T+4.
 
You are NOT allowed to sell the overdue contracts on T+4.
 
  1. Can I deposit cheque to my PB Sharelink account to settle purchase contracts? 
Yes. However, it is subject to a maximum amount of RM 200,000.00. 
 
 
To have sufficient balance to settle the purchase contract, you may easily deposit fund into your PB Sharelink account via various modes e.g. cash/cheque deposit using the Bank’s Cash/Cheque Deposit Machines, Over The Counter in branches nationwide or fund transfer through PBeBank or PBEngage Mobile App.
 
  1. When do I receive my sale proceeds and how? 
The sale contracts are due for settlement on third market day (T+3). For sale contracts, the Bank will credit the proceeds into your share trading or share margin account under PB Sharelink on T+3.
  1. Can I perform funds transfer online?
Yes. You are allowed to transfer funds from your Savings Accounts or Current Accounts to share trading or share margin account under PB Sharelink provided that your share trading or share margin account is registered in the PBeBank.
 
However, you are NOT allowed to transfer the funds from your share trading or share margin account to your Savings Account or Current Account.
 
All requests for fund withdrawal from your share trading or share margin account under PB Sharelink must be submitted to respective Share Investment Units for processing and such requests are subjected to Bank's approval.
 
  1. How do I view my account position?
To view your account position, click on the 'Online Enquiries' link located next to 'FAQ' on top of the price quotes.
 
Choose any of the following enquiries :-
Account Summary
This screen will show the actual and committed outstanding balance, total collateral value, Loan-to-Security Ratio (LSR), available trading balance, available cash/margin balance and other account information.
 
Outstanding Trades 
This screen will show all outstanding purchases, sales, contra gains and contra losses due for settlement.
 
Sellable 
List This screen will show all the shares available for sale for the day.
 
Settled Buy/Sell/Movement History 
This screen will show all the Buy and Sell transactions and shares movement such as transfer in/out for the past 2 months.
 
Settled Contra History 
This screen will show all settled contra transactions for the past 2 months.
 
Share Portfolio 
This screen will show all the free shares and outstanding shares in the share trading or share margin account as of the end of previous trading day’s position.
 
Statement of Account 
This system will store the latest two month’s account position available for selection.
 
  1. Can I place order to buy shares immediately after I deposited a cheque?
Yes, but subjected to Bank’s approval prior to placing order through Share Investment Unit.
 
  1. Will I be entitled for any discount on brokerage if I trade via internet? 
Yes. All contracts transacted via internet/mobile app will be eligible for discounted brokerage rate subject to minimum brokerage of RM12.00 as follows :-
 
For contract value RM100K and below, the brokerage rate would be 0.42%
 
For contract value above RM100K - the brokerage rate would be 0.21%
 
The brokerage rate for intraday transaction will remain at 0.15% and is subjected to Bank's approval.
 
Please take note that only orders that are placed via internet will be eligible for the discounted brokerage rate. Orders that are placed via telephone through your designated Share Investment Executives will not be eligible for discounted brokerage rate.
  1. Will I get notification of Margin Call, Force-selling and Excess from Bank?
Yes. Our Share Investment Executives will verbally notify you if your account is classified under Margin Call or Excess position. You must within 3 market days from the date of the notification regularise your account position. Otherwise, force-selling of shares will be instituted.
 
If your account is under Force-selling position, the Bank has the rights to force-sell your shares without any reference or notice to you.
 
You may also view your latest account position in the 'Online Enquiries - Account Summary' screen.
 
  1. Will I get monthly account statement from the Bank?
Yes. The Bank will continue to provide you with the monthly account statement. You may also print the latest monthly account statement from Online Enquiries screen.
  1. I am unable to access PBe Online Share Trading. What should I do?
Please make sure that your PB Sharelink account is activated. To check your account status, please contact our Share Investment Executives during office hours at respective Share Investment Units.
 
If your account is activated, enter the correct website address, which is https://www.pbebank.com
 
We recommend that you only bookmark in your browser of our main homepage address at https://www.pbebank.com in order to login without any problem.
 
  1. I am unable to view the price feed and / or trade online. What should I do?
You must first, download software from Public Bank website in order to view real-time price feed and trade online:
 
Unable to view Price Feed/ Trading Bar: 
 
For Windows 7 & Windows 8 User:
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Manage add-ons/ show; select All add-ons; delete the following files CyberStock 300 (PBB), CS Order Management Control (PBB) and csta Control.
Noted: if do not have the files as mention, kindly skip the method and go to next step as follows:
 
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Security/ Trusted Sites/ Sites; add https://www2.pbebank.com and https://www.pbebank.com as Trusted Sites.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Privacy; set the privacy settings to Medium level and untick “Turn on Pop up Blocker” box.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced; click “restore Advanced Settings” button.
  • Restart computer and launch Internet Explorer to Run as Administrator for Internet Explorer.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Security/ select Trusted sites then select “Custom level…” button/ under Security Settings – Internet Zone; select all options related to ActiveX controls to enable then click the “OK” button.
  • Re-access Public Bank Internet Share Trading and accept Add-ons for new Cyberstock 300 (PBB) CS Order Management Control (PBB) and csta Control files reinstallation.
  • After installation completed may able view Price Feed and trade online

For Windows 10 User:
  • Select Start button, key-in “Internet Explorer” under search bar launch Internet Explorer to Run as Administrator for Internet Explorer.
  • Follow the Windows 7 procedures as above
If problem still persists, please perform the following procedures:
 
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ General/ Browsing history/ delete; select all (except Passwords) and click the delete button.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced; click reset button and restart Internet Explorer.
  • Repeat the Windows 7 procedures again.

Unable to establish Server Connection or Temporary Cannot Send Order:

  • Close existing internet browser and right-click Internet Explorer to Run as Administrator for Internet Explorer.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Security/ Trusted Sites/ Sites; add https://www2.pbebank.com and https://www.pbebank.com as Trusted Sites.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced; untick “Enable memory protection to mitigate online attack”.
  • Restart computer and re-access Public Bank Internet Share Trading.
 
Unable to view Full Page of Price Feed/ Trading Bar:
 
For Windows 7, Windows 8 & Windows 10 User:
  • Right-click Desktop/ Display; set custom DPI settings to Smaller – 100%.
  • Right-click Desktop/ Display/ Screen Resolution; set Screen Resolution to Recommended by System.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ View; set text size to Medium.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Security/ Trusted Sites/ Sites; add https://www2.pbebank.com and https://www.pbebank.com as Trusted Sites.
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Adjust the Zoom Level to 100% located on the right bottom of the screen, or click Ctrl + Scroll Up or Down on mouse cursor for zoom adjustment.
  • Re-access Public Bank Internet Share Trading. 
 
Unable to Save Favorites for Price Feed Viewing:
 
For Windows 7, Windows 8 & Windows 10 User:
  • Go to Internet Explorer/ Tools/ Internet Options/Security/Sites; untick “Require Server Verification for All Sites in this Zone”.
  • Go to Tools/Internet Options/ Advanced/ Restore Advanced Settings.
  • Restart Internet Explorer and re-access Public Bank Internet Share Trading.
  • Start Save Favorites for future references. 
 
  1. I am unable to download the add-ons/ software from the PBe Online Share Trading website. What should I do? 
Please be advised that at this moment, our Online Share Trading can only support Windows operating system such as Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 with Internet Explorer browser version 9 and above.
 
Please ensure that you log on to your PC/ Notebook as Administrator (full access) instead of Standard User with limited access.
 
  1. I am unable to buy certain stocks online. What should I do?
The stock may have been suspended from online buying due to various reasons such as unusual volume and/or price movement, illiquid, adverse news and etc.
 
You may however, contact your designated Share Investment Executive during office hours at respective Share Investment Units to place an offline order. You will still be entitled for the internet brokerage rate.
 
  1. I am unable to view Online Enquiries. What should I do?
Go to Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.
 
Refresh the page and re-try again. 
 
  1. Who do I contact should I have any queries?

  1. What browser should I use for accessing PBe Online Share Trading? 
  • Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
  • Internet Explorer 9 or above

  1. Can I use other internet browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome. Opera, Safari and etc.?
You may able use other internet browsers with basic view and online trade only, for more functionality, we encourage use Internet Explorer browser. As presently, we fully support Internet Explorer browser (version 9 and above).
  1. If I have encountered “Connection Error” or “Keep Loading” for PB Sharelink Mobile Applications, what should I do?
For iPhone/ iPad Users:
  • Force close existing PB Sharelink Mobile Application
  • Go to Settings/ Safari/ Clear History & Clear Cookies and Data
  • Re-access PB Sharelink Mobile Application 
  • If the above steps are not working, please reinstall PB Sharelink Mobile Application from App Store.
For Android Users:
  • Go to Setting/ More/ Application Manager/ Running/ Force stop existing PB Sharelink Mobile Application
  • Go to Setting/ Storage/ click Cached data to clear all existing cached data on mobile.
  • Go to default browser App (Google Chrome) / Settings/ Privacy/ Clear browsing data; click CLEAR DATA
  • Re-access PB Sharelink Mobile Application.
  • If the above steps are not working, please reinstall PB Sharelink Mobile Application from Google Play.
