What is DuitNow Transfer Service?

DuitNow Transfer is a fund transfer service where you can transfer funds instantly on a 24/7 basis via Recipient ID called DuitNow ID. With DuitNow Transfer, you will enjoy a simple and convenient way to transfer money.

What is DuitNow ID?

DuitNow ID is the identifier which you will register and tied to your bank’s account as the receiving account. The following are the ID’s which can be registered for DuitNow Transfer:

  • Mobile Number
  • NRIC
  • Army ID / Police ID
  • Passport Number
  • Business Registration Number
Where is this service available?

This service is available on Public Bank's online banking and mobile banking application.

How does DuitNow Transfer works?

To perform fund transfer via DuitNow Transfer, simply enter your Recipient’s DuitNow ID, and confirm the transfer details. The funds will be transferred to the Recipient’s account instantly. But you need ensure that the Recipient’s already registered their DuitNow ID’s to their selected bank.

Do I need to register for DuitNow Transfer?

Yes, you are required to register if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow Transfer service. However, if you only intend to transfer funds, no registration is required.

How do I register for DuitNow ID?

The registration will be made available via Public Bank's online banking and mobile banking application. Please follow these steps below:-

  • Register via PBe
    • Select 'Fund Transfer'
    • Look for DuitNow and select 'Register DuitNow'
    • Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Next' to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  •  Register via MyPB App
    • Select Profile and tap on Settings

    • Look for DuitNow ID and tap on Manage

    • Select the available DuitNow ID(s)

    • Select the receiving account and then tap on the “Register” button after confirming that you have read the Terms and Conditions

    • Perform the transaction authentication to complete your DuitNow ID registration
  • Register via PB engage
    • Select 'Settings'
    • Look for Manage DuitNow ID and select 'Register DuitNow ID'
    • Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Confirm' to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  •  Register via PB enterprise
    • Select 'DuitNow'
    • Look for DuitNow Transfer and select 'Register DuitNow'
    • Select the available DuitNow ID(s) and choose the receiving account
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Next' to proceed
    • Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request
How many DuitNow IDs can I register?

You can register multiple DuitNow IDs as long your ID is updated with the bank system. However, only one DuitNow ID can be registered to one bank account.

What type of account(s) can I register for DuitNow Transfer?

Currently, you can only register to your Savings and Current accounts as the receiving accounts.

What can I do under “Manage DuitNow”?

Manage DuitNow allow you to perform the following actions:-

  • Deregistration of DuitNow ID
    • You can deregister your DuitNow ID from the PayNet database and you will not be able to receive fund via DuitNow Transfer service. You need to register again if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow Transfer service.
  • Update DuitNow ID Status
    • You can enable (On) or temporarily disable (Off) your DuitNow ID from receiving funds
  • Modify Receiving Bank Account
    • You can change the bank account that is tied to your DuitNow ID.
  • Switch Bank
    • You can switch your DuitNow ID registered at other banks to Public Bank.
How do I deregister my DuitNow ID?

Please follow these steps below :-

  • Deregister via PBe
    • Select 'Fund Transfer'
    • Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on delete action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to delete
    • A confirmation pop-up message will appear, click on 'Yes' to confirm the deletion
  • Deregister via MyPB App
    • Select Profile and click on Settings

    • Look for DuitNow ID and click on Manage

    • Select the DuitNow ID that you wish to deregister

    • Tap on the “Deregister” button after confirming that you have read the Terms and Conditions

    • Perform the transaction authentication to complete your DuitNow ID deregistration
  • Deregister via PB engage
    • Select 'Settings'
    • Look for 'Manage DuitNow ID' and select the DuitNow ID that you wish to deregister
    • Click on 'Delete DuitNow ID'
    • A confirmation pop-up message will appear, click on 'Yes' to confirm the deletion.
  • Deregister via PB enterprise
    • Select 'DuitNow'
    • Look for DuitNow Transfer and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on delete action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to delete
    • A pop-up message will appear, click on 'Yes' to confirm the deletion
    • Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request
How do I update my DuitNow ID status?

Please follow these steps below :-

  • Update your DuitNow ID status via PBe
    • Select 'Fund Transfer'
    • Look for DuitNow and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your 'Status' on the dropdown menu to 'On' or 'Off' and click 'Next' to proceed
    • Verify the details and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • Update your DuitNow ID status via MyPB App
    • Select Profile and tap on Settings

    • Look for DuitNow ID and tap on Manage

    • Select the DuitNow ID to make a status update

    • Tap on the “Disable ID” button after confirming that you have read the Terms and Conditions
    • Perform the transaction authentication to complete your DuitNow ID status update

  • Update your DuitNow ID status via PB engage
    • Select ‘Settings'
    • Look for ‘Manage DuitNow ID’ and select DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your status by toggle ‘On’ or ‘Off’
  • Update your DuitNow ID status via PB enterprise
    • Select 'DuitNow'
    • Look for DuitNow Transfer and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your 'Status' on the dropdown menu to 'On' or 'Off' and click 'Next' to proceed
    • Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request

Note: The “Disable ID” button will make your DuitNow status inactive. To reactivate your status, follow the same steps and tap on the enable button.

How do I change my receiving bank account?

Please follow these steps below :-

  • Change your receiving bank account via PBe
    • Select Fund Transfer
    • Look for DuitNow and select ‘Manage DuitNow’
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • Change your receiving bank account via MyPB App

    • Select Profile and tap on Settings
    • Look for DuitNow ID and tap on Manage
    • Select the DuitNow ID to change your receiving bank account

    • Tap on the “Change” button and select your preferred receiving account

    • Complete the transaction authentication to successfully change your receiving account

  • Change your receiving bank account via PB engage
    • Select 'Settings'
    • Look for 'Manage DuitNow' and select the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Click on 'Account Number'
    • Select your ‘Account’ on the selection menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • Change your receiving bank account via PB enterprise
    • Select ' DuitNow'
    • Look for DuitNow Transfer and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request
My DuitNow ID is registered to another bank, how do I switch to Public Bank?

Please follow these steps below :-

  • Switch your DuitNow ID account to Public Bank via PBe
    • Select Fund Transfer
    • Look for DuitNow and select ‘Manage DuitNow’
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that registered to other banks
    • Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • Switch your receiving Bank Account to Public Bank via MyPB App
    • Select Profile and tap on Settings
    • Look for DuitNow ID and tap on Manage

    • Select the DuitNow ID to change your receiving bank account

    • Tap on the “Change” button and select your preferred receiving bank account that you would like to change to

    • Complete the transaction authentication to successfully change your receiving bank account

  • Switch your DuitNow ID account to Public Bank via PB engage
    • Select 'Settings'
    • Look for 'Manage DuitNow' and select the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Click on 'Account Number'
    • Select your Public Bank Account on the selection menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • Switch your DuitNow ID account to Public Bank via PB enterprise
    • Select ' DuitNow'
    • Look for DuitNow Transfer and select 'Manage DuitNow'
    • Click on edit action icon on the DuitNow ID that you wish to update
    • Select your ‘Account’ on the dropdown menu and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details then click ‘Submit’ for you Approver to approve your request
I have recently changed my mobile number but my DuitNow ID display my old mobile number. What should I do?

Please update your mobile number at the nearest branch. Once updated, your previous mobile number will be deregistered from DuitNow Transfer. Next, login to PBe, MyPB App or PB engage to re-register your new mobile number as your DuitNow ID.

How do I perform a DuitNow Transfer?

Please follow these steps below :-

  • DuitNow Transfer via PBe
    • Select ‘Fund Transfer’
    • Look for DuitNow and select ‘To Other Account’ or 'To Favourite Account' 
    • Select your ‘From Account’
    • Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
    • Enter the ‘DuitNow ID’
    • Enter the amount and other details
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
  • DuitNow Transfer via MyPB App
    • Select the “Send” module from the home page

    • Tap on New Transfer and select the Account No. or DuitNow ID type that you would like to transfer to

    • Enter the Account No. / DuitNow ID

    • Enter the Amount and Receipt Reference

    • Verify the details and read the Terms and Conditions

    • Tap on “Send” and complete the transaction authentication to complete the DuitNow Transfer

  • DuitNow Transfer via PB engage
    • Select ‘DuitNow Transfer'
    • Select your ‘From Account’
    • Choose the ‘DuitNow ID Type’
    • Enter the ‘DuitNow ID / Account No.’
    • Enter the amount and other details
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Next’ to proceed
    • Verify the details before performing your transaction authentication method and click 'Confirm' to complete the process
Is there any service fee involved for DuitNow Transfer services?

No. There is currently no service fee charged for the service.
