Be cautious of fraudulent SMS messages claiming to be from courier service companies in Malaysia.

Scammers may pose as courier representatives and send messages containing links, asking you to make payments to receive a parcel.

These links often direct you to a fake website that request sensitive information such as your card details and subsequently request you to key in the One Time Password (OTP) or click “Approve” on push notification.

To protect yourself against these scams:

  • Always verify the legitimacy of the courier service companies by checking their official website.
  • Never click on unknown links or open attachments from unsolicited messages
  • Be wary of messages from unknown sources that create a sense of urgency, pressuring you to make immediate payments
  • Only use official websites and apps of courier companies to track your parcels.
  • Never share your One Time Password (OTP) or banking credentials with anyone
  • Avoid clicking on “Approve” in any Push Notification that seems suspicious

Stay vigilant and protect your personal information from unauthorized access.
