Purchasing a vehicle is a substantial investment, and we always expect our vehicles to be of merchantable quality and meet specific quality standards.
Once in a while, the vehicles’ condition may not meet the expectations due to defects, misrepresentations, or poor services from the dealer/ vendor. Thus, you may wish to claim your losses against the dealer/ vendor by filing claim at Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TCCM).
Common Grounds for Filing to Tribunal Court
- Defect that was not disclosed to consumer during the purchase (e.g. faulty engine, defective parts, workmanship)
- Misrepresentation of the vehicle’s condition (e.g. tampered odometer, false information)
- Failure to provide after sales service agreed upon (e.g. warranty or after-sale service not honored)
After filing of Claim of Statement Form (Form 1) at Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia office or file online through e-Tribunal System.
