What is Fund Lock?
Fund Lock is an anti-fraud security feature that allows you to lock a specific amount in your Current or Savings Account(s), protecting it from unauthorized transactions and potential scams.
You may lock your funds that are in excess of what you need for your daily expenditures. Funds that are locked can only be unlocked through Public Bank branch.
Benefits of using Fund Lock
Fund Lock Guide

Select your Current or Savings account to lock funds, then tap on “Lock Fund”.

Enter the desired amount to be locked.

Review and acknowledge the disclaimers, then tap “Proceed”.

Authenticate the request using PB SecureSign.

Your funds are now successfully locked.

Select your Current or Savings account to increase lock funds, then tap on “+ Increase”.

Input the amount you wish to add to your locked funds.

Review and acknowledge the disclaimers, then tap “Proceed”.

Authenticate the request using PB SecureSign.

Your locked funds are now successfully increased.

Select your Current or Savings account and tap on “Unlock” to initiate the unlock request.

Authenticate the request using PB SecureSign.

Your request to unlock funds has been successfully submitted.

Visit the nearest Public Bank branch to complete the unlock request.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fund Lock is an anti-fraud security feature that allows you to lock a specific amount in your Current or Savings Account(s), protecting it from unauthorized transactions and potential scams.
You may lock your funds, increase your locked amount and submit an unlock fund request via MyPB App and Online Banking.
Fund Lock feature is available for all Current and Savings Account, except:
- PB Sharelink Account
- PB Foreign Currency Current Account (PB FCY CA)
- PB Multi Foreign Currency Current Account (PB MFCA)
Once locked, your funds will no longer be available for all debit transactions including, but not limited to:
- Fund Transfer
- Payment
- Investment
- Standing Instruction / e-Standing Instruction
- Direct Debit
- Cheque Clearing
- Cash Withdrawal or Transfer via self-service terminals.
You can lock a minimum amount of RM 1,000 and up to the total available balance in your account.
