DuitNow ID
What is DuitNow Transfer Service?
DuitNow Transfer is a fund transfer service where you can perform instant fund transfers to any recipient with a valid DuitNow ID.
What is DuitNow ID?
DuitNow ID is a payment identifier that allows you to register and tie your savings/ current account to the following ID as the receiving account.
- Mobile Number
- NRIC
- Army ID / Police ID
- Passport Number
- Business Registration Number
Do I need to register for DuitNow Transfer?
You are required to register if you wish to receive funds via the DuitNow Transfer service. There is no registration required if you only intend to transfer funds.
What type of account(s) can I register for DuitNow Transfer?
You can only register to your Savings and Current accounts as the receiving accounts.
How many DuitNow IDs can I register?
You can register multiple DuitNow IDs as long your ID is updated with the bank system. However, only one DuitNow ID can be registered to one bank account.
What can I do under “Manage DuitNow ID’?
You are able to perform the following actions:
- DuitNow ID Registration/Deregistration
- You can deregister your DuitNow ID from PayNet database and you will not be able to receive fund via DuitNow Transfer Service. You need to register again if you wish to receive funds via DuitNow Transfer service.
- DuitNow ID Status Update
- You can activate (On) and temporarily deactivate (Off) your DuitNow ID from receiving funds.
- Modify Receiving Bank Account
- You can change the bank account that is tied to your DuitNow ID.
- Switch Bank
- You can switch your DuitNow ID registered at other banks to Public Bank.
