How do I activate PB SecureSign?

Just login to your Public Bank mobile banking application (i.e. PB engage or MyPB App) and you will be prompted to activate PB SecureSign automatically.

Can I skip the PB SecureSign activation?

The use of Public Bank’s mobile banking application (i.e. PB engage or MyPB App) requires all users to activate PB SecureSign on one of their registered device(s) to perform financial transactions.

Can I activate PB SecureSign in both MyPB app and PB engage on my registered devices?

No, PB SecureSign can only be activated on one app and one device at a time.

What are the steps to register for PB SecureSign?
  • Enter your registered IC number or Passport number / Business Registration number with the Bank for verification
  • Enable and Set your Quick Payment Limit
  • Your PB SecureSign will be pending activation at this point
How do I activate my PB SecureSign?

You can activate your PB SecureSign via the following methods:

  • SecureSign Hard Token (if available)
  • Automated Teller Machine (ATM) or Cash Recycling Machine (CRM)
  • Any PBB / PIBB Branches
  • Email PBe Customer Support at customersupport@publicbank.com.my
Why is my PB SecureSign displayed as ‘In Progress’ even after activation?

As a security measure, Public Bank has introduced a 12-hour cooling-off period to prevent any unauthorised transaction approvals. You will only have full access to MyPB App upon the completion of the cooling off period. This measure is designed to provide an additional layer of protection for your banking activities and sensitive information.

I already have PB SecureSign activated on PB engage. Do I need to register for PB SecureSign on MyPB App?

Yes, in order to utilize the full banking and lifestyle features on MyPB App, you are required to activate PB SecureSign. But fret not, you can now migrate your PB SecureSign from PB engage to MyPB App via Push Notification approval.

Upon your successful registration of PB SecureSign on MyPB App, a push notification will be sent to your PB engage and all you need to do is to click on ‘Approve’ to migrate your PB SecureSign from PB engage to MyPB App.

Do I still need to go to the Branch/ ATM to activate my PB SecureSign?

No, you can skip the visit to the branch. Upon PB SecureSign activation via Push Notification you only need to wait for the 12 hour cooling off period to be completed before being able to fully utilize MyPB App.

How do I know my PB SecureSign has been successfully activated?

You will receive a push notification upon successful activation. Alternatively, you may go to Settings > PB SecureSign to check on the status.
