e-Invoice
The Government of Malaysia has introduced the e-Invoice system to make tax reporting easier, faster, and more transparent for everyone.
An e-Invoice is a digital version of a traditional invoice that records transactions — like those between Public Bank Berhad (PBB) and its customers. Each e-Invoice is sent to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) for validation, helping to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax rules in real-time.
To register for e-Invoice, kindly follow the instructions below
- Select “Manage e-Invoice”
- You are required to verify your identity by performing Multi-Factor Authentication before proceeding to the e-Invoice Registration and Maintenance page.
- Fill in the necessary information and click on “Next”.
- To submit the e-Invoice details, you are required to click on “Confirm”.
- Upon successful submission, you will be displayed with an acknowledgement screen.
The following are eligible customers who can register for e-Invoice via MyPB:
- Individuals
- Sole Proprietorships (registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia).
- Practising Certificate Holders, such as:
- Accountants
- Lawyers
- Doctors
- Architects
- Any profession that requires a valid practising license in Malaysia.
You required to provide certain information, such as your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Sales and Service Tax (SST) Number (if applicable)
Please ensure that all information provided to PBB is accurate and complete. If the details are incorrect or incomplete, the e-Invoice will not be validated by IRBM, and as a result, it cannot be generated.
No, it is not mandatory for you to register for e-Invoice. However, e-Invoices are particularly beneficial for businesses, as they serve as official proof of expenses that can be used for income tax deduction purposes
The e-Invoice will be made available in the next statement cycle after you have submitted the necessary information to PBB.
Please note that e-Invoice can only be generated for transactions that occur after your request has been submitted. They are not available for transactions made prior to the request.
PBB will issue the e-Invoice only to the principal or primary account holder. Secondary account holders will not receive an e-Invoice.
You may edit your information by resubmitting the e-Invoice details via Manage e-Invoice function on MyPB.
